"Greetings, my name is Cecilia Silva. I am 27 years old and recently graduated from Veterinary School. My journey with my skin has been a long and frustrating one. Growing up and through my teenage years, I was very active playing sports and keeping up with my physical health but did very little for my skin. Just like many of us I struggle with dry to oily skin, black heads, breakouts, cystic acne and scarring from constantly picking at my face. As an adolescent I was not overly concerned about my skin and my face; It was my older sister that would constantly talk to me about the importance of skin care and taking care of my face. As a young adult pursuing a career in the medical field stress became a constant in my life and with that came a lot of acne and a lot of picking. It got so bad that I developed a substantial scar along my left neck from a cystic acne that I could not leave alone. I had that scar, along with many other breakouts along my face, for at least 3 years before coming to Radiance Advanced Skincare and Laser. I hated it, I would try to treat it and put band-aids on it to prevent myself from irritating it further but nothing seemed to work. 

Once I graduated Veterinary School, I moved to MA in July 2021 and I was determined to take care of myself and take care of my skin. In looking for an establishment to get a routine facial done, I stumbled upon the incredible team at Radiance Advanced Skincare and Laser. I booked my first facial in August, and they paired me with the amazing esthetician, Lilliana. It was a general acne facial but immediately as I laid on the bed she was evaluating my face and that is when my skincare game changed forever!!!! Lilliana made recommendations for specific treatments that she believed would aid in treating my facial concerns, particularly that big scar. She recommended for our next session to try a chemical peel (peel away all the years of stress that were affecting my face) and see how my skin would respond.   

I followed Liliana's recommendations like my life depended on it and within the span of 3 - 4 months my skin and my face have changed tremendously. My skin looks brighter, I have fewer breakouts, less scarring and my 3+ year scar has healed (this is still a work in progress, but as of today it is no longer a scar, there is still some pigment in that area that Lilliana continues to address). I have seen incredible improvements and changes to my skin that give me so much more confidence. Recently, I have had no need to wear so much makeup or cover up because my skin is so beautiful and bright. Additionally, I have received so many compliments from family, friends and coworkers in regards to the appearance of my skin; therefore, even if I don't see an obvious change, I am reminded that small improvements over time lead to a big change in the long run.

I am a firm believer in self-care, and this is the only face and skin that I will have for this lifetime and I want to make sure I take great care of it. Therefore, I am eternally grateful to everyone at Radiance Advanced Skincare and Laser, especially Lilliana, because of the care and attention they have provided me in such a short amount of time.
